The Maldives Fishery Processing Plant Project, with a total investment of $50 million, showcases the exceptional advantages of multi-story steel structures in modern industrial construction.   Spanning 25,000 square meters, the facility produces dried seafood, processed fish, and fish oil, with an annual capacity of 150,000 tons.   Designed to withstand the Maldives' high temperatures and heavy rainfall, the plant features a robust steel structure with double-layer preservative treatment for enhanced durability and a steep roof slope for efficient drainage.

The main structure utilizes H-shaped steel beams and tubular steel columns with a diameter of 14-16 inches, ensuring superior strength and stability.   The 10-12 meter column spacing maximizes space utilization, while the prestressed reinforced concrete floors and piling foundations provide additional resilience.   Supporting facilities, including awnings, warehouses, and maintenance plants, are also constructed using steel, highlighting its versatility.
